David Rennie is CEO of Global Hospital, where he leads the strategic and commercial development of the organisation and its delivery of clinically designed, rapidly deployable healthcare infrastructure to communities around the world.

He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across the international healthcare industry. Before joining Global Hospital, David held senior executive positions with several leading MedTech companies including Johnson & Johnson, Bioventus, and Hollister.

Throughout his career, he has led complex healthcare businesses and multidisciplinary teams across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, with responsibility for strategy, commercial growth and market development.

At Global Hospital, David is focused on building collaborative partnerships with healthcare providers, NGOs, funders and delivery partners. He is passionate about developing practical, sustainable infrastructure solutions that respond to local clinical needs and improve access to safe, high-quality healthcare.

In addition to his role at Global Hospital, David serves as a Chairing Panel Member within Scotland’s Children’s Hearing System, supporting decisions concerning the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people.

Dave Tipping is Director of Global Operations at Kids Operating Room, Global Hospital's partner organisation, and a founding member of KidsOR. He has been a key leader in the delivery of more than 130 dedicated paediatric operating rooms across over 40 countries, including Afghanistan, the West Bank and Haiti.

From Kids Operating Room's Centre for Global Operations in Dundee, Dave leads the team that turns partner applications into completed, equipped and commissioned facilities. His work spans design, procurement, logistics, installation, and clinical training, coordinating with in-country partners, ministries of health, and suppliers to deliver theatres in some of the most demanding operating environments in the world.

A graduate of the University of Dundee in Architecture (2005), Dave was named Business Leader at the University's Bridge Alumni Awards (2026), which celebrate alumni whose work transforms lives locally, regionally and globally.

Working alongside Global Hospital, he brings that operational experience to the delivery of clinically designed, rapidly deployable healthcare infrastructure, ensuring facilities are not only installed quickly but continue to perform long after handover. He is driven by solving difficult problems with partners who are treating patients every day, and by the conviction that children everywhere deserve access to safe surgery.

Laurence Wood is Head of Architecture and Innovation at Global Hospital, where he leads the design and technical development of the organisation's rapidly deployable healthcare infrastructure, currently including provision for the West Bank and countries across Central and Southern Africa.

He brings more than ten years of experience across architecture, humanitarian shelter and disaster response. Before joining Global Hospital, Laurence served as a Shelter Officer with the United Nations International Organisation for Migration in the Philippines following Typhoon Yolanda, and as a Construction Programme Manager with All Hands Volunteers, where he developed a build-training system that was later adopted by the UN.

In addition to his role at Global Hospital, Laurence is a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Dundee, where he founded and leads 'Design for Displacement', an MArch unit asking students to design at the edges of architecture for displaced communities in LMIC countries. His research into adaptation in shelter design, documenting construction processes and design education, was published in 2024. He serves as Shelter Technical Advisor to the Mentor Initiative and won the RIAS Design Tutor Award (2022–24) and the Martin Jones Scholarship for 'Un-transition'.

Aishani Garg is a Global Health professional with a background in Biomedical Sciences and experience across clinical, research, and international field settings. She holds an MSc in Global Health from Queen Margaret University and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Dundee, alongside postgraduate training in tropical medicine through Universitas Gadjah Mada and IS Global, University of Barcelona.

Aishani has developed a strong understanding of healthcare delivery in resource-constrained environments through clinical placements in Sri Lanka and China, where she gained insight into patient care and clinical workflows. Her international field experience includes research in Madagascar and supporting data collection and reporting in remote settings.

At Global Hospital, Aishani is passionate about contributing to the development and delivery of resilient, needs-driven healthcare solutions that improve access to safe, high-quality clinical care in low-resource settings. She is particularly motivated by opportunities to translate global health evidence into practical interventions that strengthen healthcare infrastructure and systems where they are needed most.

Drew Rumgay is an Architectural Innovation Associate at Global Hospital, where he leads the development of new design approaches for rapidly deployable clinical infrastructure, from early concept through to the build documentation that allows facilities to be deployed overseas.

He joined Global Hospital in 2024, having trained previously with Reiach and Hall Architects in Edinburgh.

Drew studied at the University of Dundee, graduating with a Master of Architecture with First Class Honours in 2025, having earlier completed a BA in Architecture with Distinction. His thesis was awarded the Royal Scottish Academy Gold Medal for Architecture at the RSA New Contemporaries exhibition in 2026. He was also nominated for the RIBA President's Silver Medal, highly commended in the RIAS Rowand Anderson Silver Medal, named Best Final Year Student by the Dundee Institute of Architects, and runner-up in the 3DReid Student Prize.

At Global Hospital, Drew is focused on translating research and design innovation into practical, buildable solutions that improve access to healthcare where it is needed most.

Outside architecture, he played professional ice hockey for the Dundee Stars and has coached with Best of British Ice Hockey Camps.
